My name is Stacy, I am the creator of Couture & Scy.
Behind each piece, there is not a factory, nor a production team: there is me, alone in my workshop, my know-how, my choices of materials and my love of textiles.
I imagine, design, cut and sew each garment one by one, in France, with patience and precision.
Handcrafted fashion, far removed from fast fashion
Couture & Scy was born out of a need: to offer an alternative to mass and impersonal production.
Here, nothing is prefabricated, and nothing is mass-produced. Each creation is: sewn to order, handmade, meticulously detailed, unique by nature.
The garment you receive is yours, not one of thousands produced in an industrial workshop on the other side of the world.
Authentic, manual know-how
and human
My work is not comparable to that of major retailers or industrial luxury.
I do not use factory machines, and each piece requires real time to make: hours of cutting, assembling, sewing, ironing and finishing.
Handmade items sometimes involve subtle variations from one piece to another: these are not flaws, but the signature of craftsmanship. I prioritize authenticity over standardization, and genuine quality over "machine perfectionism".
Natural materials, carefully selected
carefully
I work exclusively with materials selected for: their quality, durability, feel, aesthetics, and more responsible impact.
The fabrics I use are: mostly natural, Oeko-Tex certified (free from harmful substances), chosen to last over time and age well on the skin.
When I construct a garment, I choose each component: the fabric, the buttons, the thread, the lining... everything.
An independent workshop, real expenses
Buying a Couture & Scy piece is not just paying for a garment.
It means supporting: an independent designer, a French workshop, hours of manual labor, business expenses, professional equipment, and expertise that deserves to be valued.
I manage everything: design, production, order preparation, photos, communication, customer service... Couture & Scy is a handcrafted world run by a single person.
Models imagined and designed by me
Each piece is the product of my imagination: I create the designs, the volumes, the cuts, the finishes. I don't reproduce existing clothes: I design them.
This takes time: to draw, test, adjust, improve, start again until a harmonious cut is achieved.
Creation is at the heart of my approach, not copying or speed.
Why the prices may seem surprising... but are fair
The gap between fast fashion and craftsmanship is immense.
A mass-produced industrial garment in no way reflects the reality of a handcrafted piece sewn in France.
When you buy from Couture & Scy, you're paying for: the time spent making the garment, the time invested in its creation, the quality of the materials, local production, overhead costs, and the care of someone who makes each stitch themselves. The prices aren't inflated; they simply reflect the true value of handcrafted work.
Thank you for supporting work done with heart.
Every order is an honor and a responsibility. Thank you for bringing to life a fashion that is more humane, more conscious, more respectful, more unique.
And above all, thank you for choosing a garment created with intention, and not mass-produced.
