RETURN POLICY

1.1. Custom-made, handcrafted products

All items offered on the couture & scy website are made to order and custom-made, according to the specifications provided by the customer (usual size, personalized length, choice of fabric, etc.).

The fabrics are not purchased in advance: each raw material is ordered only after the order has been validated, which makes each piece unique and not reusable for another customer.

1.2 Exclusion of the right of withdrawal

In accordance with Article L221-28 of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to products made to order or personalized according to the consumer's choices.

This means that no returns, exchanges or refunds will be accepted once the order has been confirmed, except in the case of a proven defect.

This legal framework protects artisans like couture & scy, whose activity falls within the definition of an independent micro-artisanal enterprise, and cannot be equated with a traditional business with items in stock.

1.3 Return on an exceptional basis (in case of defect only)

A return will only be considered in the event of a proven defect, such as:

  • major sewing defect
  • size error compared to what was indicated.
  • obvious task or defect.

In this case, the customer must contact us within 48 hours of receiving the package, with supporting photos, so that we can analyze the situation.

No claim will be accepted after this period or without clear visual evidence.

1.4 No order cancellations are possible after validation.


Once the order has been placed, no cancellation can be requested, as the fabrics are ordered immediately and the making begins quickly afterwards.

1.5 No individual exceptions possible

Out of a concern for fairness towards all customers, Couture & Scy makes no individual exceptions. Even in cases of personal hardship or dissatisfaction, we must apply the same rules to everyone to guarantee fairness, transparency, and the viability of our business.


Refusing a return is never a decision taken lightly. However, an isolated exception would jeopardize the stability of our artisanal structure and create inequality with other customers.

1.6 Customer Commitment

By confirming her order, the customer acknowledges:

• having read this return policy,

• to be informed that the garment will be made specifically for her,

• and waives any right of withdrawal in accordance with Article L221-28.

Couture & Scy is an independent, small-scale, artisanal business. Each piece is carefully crafted, respecting the details chosen by the client, without mechanization or mass production.

We thank you for your understanding, your respect for artisanal work, and for your kindness in our exchanges.

ORDERING POLICY

1. Pre-order operation

All our capsule collection items are made exclusively on a pre-order basis. This means that no stock is available: each piece is made to order, in the order of purchase by our customers.

2. Production time

The estimated production time is between 7 and 25 business days, excluding Sundays and Mondays. This timeframe may vary depending on the complexity of the items and the volume of orders.

The customer will receive an email informing her of the maximum date by which her order will be finalized.

By confirming her order, the customer acknowledges having read these delays and agrees to be patient until the end of the production process.


3. Order Processing

Orders are processed in chronological order of purchase.

If the customer needs her order by a specific date, it is her responsibility to plan accordingly, taking into account the production time indicated on the website. No priority processing is possible.


4. Payment and validation

No item is made without full payment in advance.

Payment constitutes full and complete acceptance of this order policy.


5. Modifications or cancellations by the client

Once the order is confirmed, no changes (size, fabric, address, model…) or cancellations will be accepted, due to the personalized and handcrafted nature of the pieces.


6. Cancellation by our workshop

We reserve the right to cancel any order at any time, particularly in the event of defective fabric or an unexpected stock shortage. In this case, the customer will be notified by email, and a refund will be issued as soon as possible.


7. Notification of completion of production

Once the order has been completed, the customer will receive a confirmation email titled “order complete”, indicating that the item is ready to be packaged and then shipped.


8. Delivery – choosing a collection point

When placing an order, the customer is asked to select a collection point.

In the absence of an explicit choice, we will automatically ship the parcel to the nearest collection point to the postal address provided.


9. Responsibility for the information provided

The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information entered when placing the order (address, collection point, email, etc.).

In case of error, we decline all responsibility for delays or loss of packages.


10. Force majeure

In the event of exceptional circumstances beyond our control (illness, technical incident, natural disaster, strike, etc.), production times may be extended.

The customer will be kept informed. No refund will be given for delays due to force majeure.

SHIPPING POLICY

1. Shipment after production

All orders are shipped only after they have been completed. The customer will first receive an email titled “order complete”.

2. Shipping Confirmation

Once the order is ready to leave our workshop, an email titled “shipping confirmation” is sent.

From this point of dispatch, the package is shipped within 5 business days.


3. Package tracking

The tracking number is included in the shipping confirmation email.

It is the customer's responsibility to track the delivery of her package via the website of the selected carrier.

4. Shipping Delays

In the event of a shipping delay attributable to our workshop, the customer will be notified by email.

No refund will be issued due to delays if the production or shipping remains within the timeframes announced on the website.

5. Liability after delivery to the carrier

Once the package is handed over to the carrier, our responsibility ends. In case of delay, loss, theft, or any other unforeseen issue related to delivery, the customer must contact the carrier directly using the provided tracking number.


6. Delivery address and collection point

The customer is fully responsible for the accuracy of the delivery address entered when placing the order.

If no collection point is selected, we will automatically ship the parcel to the collection point closest to the address provided.

In the event of an incorrect address, a closed collection point, or a parcel returned to the sender, the customer will be responsible for the reshipping costs.


7. Collection time at a collection point

Parcels delivered to collection points must be collected within the time limits set by the carrier.

Any unclaimed package will be returned to our workshop. If the customer wishes to have the package reshipped, a reshipping fee will be charged.


8. Delivery Zones

We currently ship to: France, Belgium, the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada.

Orders placed outside these areas will be cancelled and refunded.


9. Tracked delivery only

All shipments are sent with tracking numbers. We do not offer in-person pickup or workshop collection.

General Terms and Conditions

These general terms and conditions of sale (GTC) govern the sales of products made on the couturescy website, managed by iaamscy located in France, which can be contacted at the following email address: couturescy@gmail.com.

1. Products

The products offered are handmade in France, made to order. Each product is carefully described in its product sheet: fabric, cut, size, care instructions, etc.

Slight variations (color, texture, placement of seams…) may exist between each piece, due to the handcrafted nature of the product.

2. Orders

Orders are placed exclusively via the website.

Order confirmation implies full and complete acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Couture & scy reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order in the event of a prior dispute.

3. Price

Prices are shown in euros including VAT (VAT not applicable according to article 293 B of the CGI).

Delivery costs are shown before order confirmation.

4. Payment

Payment is secure and is made online via PayPal and Shopify Payments.

No order will be processed without full payment.

5. Production & Delivery Time

Each piece is made to order, within 7 to 25 working days (excluding Sunday and Monday), as specified in our shipping policy.

Delivery times depend on the carrier and cannot be guaranteed.

Once the package has been handed over to the carrier, couture & scy is no longer responsible for delays, losses or damages.

Right of withdrawal / return

➤ Article L221-28 of the Consumer Code:

The right of withdrawal does not apply to products made to order or personalized according to the consumer's choices.

Therefore, no returns will be accepted, except: if a proven defect is found.

7. Intellectual Property

The designs, creations, texts and visuals on this site are the property of couture & scy. Any reproduction or use without authorization is prohibited.

8. Responsibility

Couture & scy cannot be held responsible for non-performance of the contract in the event of force majeure, unavailability of the product, or disruption of transport.

9. Personal Data

10. Applicable Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.

In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will always be sought as a priority.

Failing that, the competent courts will be those of the seller's place of residence.

LEGAL NOTICES

At couture & scy we are committed to treating each customer with care, respect and transparency.

In return, we expect the same goodwill in our interactions.

Any inappropriate, disrespectful or aggressive message may result in the immediate termination of the discussion or, in some cases, the cancellation of the order.

The designs of the garments are protected by copyright; it is strictly forbidden to reproduce them without authorization. Failure to comply with this rule may result in legal action.

The photos published on our various social media platforms are not intended for distribution elsewhere (except for sharing). Distributing photos and images of the creations without authorization may result in legal action.

PRIVACY POLICY

The company couture & scy is committed to protecting the confidentiality of your personal data.

1. Data collected

We collect the following information when you visit the site or place an order:

• Name, surname

• Postal address

• E-mail address

• Telephone number

• Browsing data (via cookies or analytics tools).

2. Use of data

This data is used for:

• Manage your orders and delivery.

• Communicating with you (follow-up emails, confirmations, customer service responses).
